Position Overview:
We are seeking a Procurement Associate who will oversee the complete sourcing, negotiating, contracting and onboarding journey for our vendor network, collaborating cross-functionally with the Sales and Product teams to ensure a robust and growing number of partnerships in relevant industries for our customers. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills to complete market exploration, vendor alignment / sales and ultimately timely execution of the onboarding process for new vendors. You will be at the forefront of engaging with our vendor network, ensuring Rynse receives the best prices for our customers, while also being strategic about long-term partnerships with independent operators and national brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Vendor Management / Procurement: Manage the entire lifecycle for vendors within new and existing markets including: the identification of relevant businesses, outreach (phone and email) / price negotiations, and continued relationship management once set-up (where relevant).
- Market Research: Identify relevant vendors within new and existing markets and collect information regarding the businesses that pertains to the sales process.
- Procurement / Vendor Outreach: Engage with all relevant vendors in a market (phone calls, emails, Linkedin, etc.) while maintaining detailed notes that internal stake holders can review.
- Contracting: Negotiate pricing with several strategic vendors within a market (both independent and chains) to build a network of businesses that our customers can access
- Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with our vendors to continue strengthening our total regional and national presence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- With Sales: Work closely with the Sales team to prioritize new market opportunities and align vendor selection to customer priorities
- With Product: Partner with the Product team to ensure that vendor feedback is captured during the onboarding process and to advocate for product improvements based on where operations and interactions with vendors can be improved.
- Process Optimization & Reporting: Continuously assess and improve the procurement process, making adjustments based on market trends, vendor feedback and key procurement success metrics (avg. discount, time-to-launch, churn, etc.). Ensure processes scale with company growth and product updates and report out insights to the leadership team.
